To help our membership play an active part in all this process, ILGA World is proud to release a practical guide to its General Meeting, as well to the months leading up to this important moment in the life of our organisation.

Our membership has several ways to participate in shaping ILGA World: they can send proposals to introduce the changes you wish to see in the organisation’s governing documents, run for the Board election, send proposals on an issue relevant for the organisation and our global LGBTIQ movement, or submit bids to host our next World Conference.

This practical guide answers all your questions about how and when to get involved with nominations and proposals in the months leading up to the 2022 World Conference, and details how the General Meeting will work once we’ll have gathered at the Conference.

Since the 1970s, ILGA World Conferences have brought together representatives of LGBTIQ organisations from all over the world. They have been fundamental events for our movement ever since.
