We do this in multiple ways including:

An inter-governmental body made up of 47 States responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights around the globe

Committees of independent experts who monitor States' compliance withthe international human rights treaties
Special Procedures
Independent human rights experts mandated by the UN who report and advise on human rights issues related to a particular theme or country

The principal global intergovernmental body dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women
